In Utah, supporting unions and organized labor is about ensuring that the state’s historic economic growth benefits the hardworking families who power it. I believe strengthening labor protections means advocating for fair wages, safe working conditions, and the right to collective bargaining, which allows workers to have a meaningful seat at the table. By supporting our local unions—from trades and manufacturing to educators and public service workers—we invest in a more stable middle class and a more resilient economy. Supporting labor advocacy isn't just about policy; it’s about respecting the dignity of work and ensuring that every Utahn can provide a secure future for their family
The Great Salt Lake is facing severe shrinkage driven by overuse of upstream water, drought, and rising evaporation rates—creating exposed lakebed that threatens air quality, ecosystems, and Utah’s long‑term water security. Redistricting is a big issue in Utah. I believe that voters should choose their representatives. We need to protect the Independent Redistricting Commission (IRC)
Judicial Independence is a key component of any democracy. I oppose supreme court expansion from 5 to 7 justices and believe that vetting standards should remain non-partisan
Voting access and election integrity: the existing universal vote-by-mail system works in Utah! It seems fundamentally wrong to make it harder to vote.
Term limits: when politicians are in office for too long, they take the citizens for granted and stop listening to the will of the people
Equality: I believe we need to uphold protections for all members of our society. In Utah, we have a rich culture that includes many from different backgrounds, beliefs, and orientation. This is what makes Utah great! We should make all individuals feel welcome rather than seeking ways to marginalize their views and backgrounds.
